El “Go Skateboarding Day”, o Día Mundial del Skate, se celebra anualmente los 21 de junio desde el año 2004.
Este feriado fue escogido por la Asociación Internacional de Empresas de Skate, para promocionarse a través de varios eventos alrededor del mundo.

El nombre viene de una señal en inglés que dice “No skateboarding” que usualmente ha sido cambiada por “Go skateboarding” por los adeptos a este deporte extremo.

Alrededor del mundo, especialmente en Latinoamérica, se desarrollaron diversas actividades donde los “skaters” tomaron las calles de las ciudades más importantes de la región.
